Can we eat the bakes?

As the bakes were coming in, our attention was slowly drifting. But let’s be fair, it’s just our natural instinct kicking in.

After the much-needed food and coffee, the conversation started. The hearts were part of the subjects that we chatted about. The hearts were like a contemporary representation of the tip of the iceberg. They represent the conscious mind, while the huge expanse of ice beneath the water represents the unconscious mind.

Our first-ever painting journey

Ironically, the hearts remind us of the animation that pops up when you “double tap” on Instagram reels. Floating hearts appear. Rather fitting we suppose, that we gathered to create an art based on an invitation on social media crafted to get shares and likes. The hearts do not seem annoying anymore. They have grown on us. If the hearts get us to look at the painting a little longer and make us feel and think in all sorts of ways, we would say the hearts are pretty loveable. If likes and shares are needed to game the algorithm so that art can reach you, we say this is not all that evil after all.
